William A. Billowitch, 72, of Macungie passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie (Saccani) Billowitch. They were blessed to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 7, 2017.
Born December 28, 1944, in Allentown, he was the son of the late William I. and Isabel (Whitby) Billowitch. William was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School class of 1962. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales.
William was a long-time and active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, where he served on the finance committee. He was a certified public accountant and was a shareholder at Buckno Lisicky & Co. Certified Public Accountants for over 30 years. William was the former president of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, and was a board member of the Allentown Central Catholic Advisory Board, and served his country in the Army National Guard for six years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Kristina M. Dougherty and her husband, John, of Hatfield, and William A. Billowitch and his wife, Ferrol, of Upper Macungie; his sister Margaret Brown of Allentown; his granddaughters, Allison, Katelyn, Adysen, and Reise; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, and Pop-Pop.
He was predeceased by his sister, Delores Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 10 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 920 S. 2nd St, Allentown, PA 18103. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 15, from 6-8 PM and again Saturday morning from 8:30- 9:15 AM at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton Street Allentown, PA 18102. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul’s Catholic Church at the address above.
