Elsie (Holloway) Martin, 94, formerly of Perkiomenville, PA, passed away January 20, 2018 at Normandy Farms Estates where she had been a resident for the last ten years. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Martin, Sr. who passed away in 1985. She later became the loving companion of Charles Fluhrer of Philadelphia, PA.
Born July 30, 1923 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Sidney W. and Mary (Galbraith) Holloway. She was a graduate of Kensington High School.
Mrs. Martin was employed for many years with Moore Products of Spring House where she served as the corporate credit manager. She had a great love for genealogy and traced her family’s roots back to Scotland, Ireland and England. She also enjoyed traveling extensively and dancing.
In addition to Mr. Fluhrer, she is survived by a step son, Robert C. Martin, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; a step daughter, Barbara “Bambi” Wigh and her husband, Richard, and their family of Columbus, IN; and a nephew, Gary Holloway and his wife, Joan, of Harleysville. Elsie is also survived by a large loving extended family including Holloways, Galbraiths, Baldwins, Comforts, Malcolms and Klugs.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney W. “Bud” Holloway; and a sister, Margaret “Peg” Holloway.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11AM on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where friends may call for the viewing from 10-11AM. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories.
