David Orlando Boccella, 20, a life-long resident of Skippack, PA, passed away March 18, 2018.
Born January 6, 1998 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of Orlando and Florence (DeFusco) Boccella of Skippack. He was a 2016 graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School and was currently a student at Montgomery College in Silver Spring, MD. He worked part-time at Presidential Caterers in East Norriton, PA.
David loved playing the guitar. He volunteered at Global Jam 4 Peace and Sacred Heart Dinner Program in Washington, DC. He was active with Amnesty International rallies and enjoyed practicing yoga.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Carla Boccella and her husband, Michael Madden, of Washington, DC, Julia Boccella of Skippack, and Benita Boccella and her husband, Daniel Kurtz, of Audubon, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jenna, Danielle, Benjamin, Katherine and Alexander.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 11:30AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA, where family will receive friends for the viewing from 10:30AM -11:15AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Sacred Heart Dinner Program, 3211 Sacred Heart Way NW, Washington, DC 20010 (www.DinnerProgram.org).
